This impact paddle has a durable metal core, and the handle is wrapped in a layer of thick veg-tanned leather for durability, then wrapped again in thin, soft hide for a comfortable grip. The 2” heavy-duty antiqued brass ring on the handle base serves as a kind of pommel, and really gives the feel of holding a weapon. The paddle itself is multiple layers of heavy veg-tanned leather, and features an engraving of the Icelandic Ægishjálmur, or “Helm of Awe” sigil, surrounded by the image of Yggdrasil, the world tree.
